Blog #22: Update On the Future

To the JN Films community:

This post will likely create more questions than answers, but I'll do my best to provide some insight into the future of JN Films.

As previously known, the business operation closed at the end of February. It ended up being a blessing since the business wouldn't be able to function during the time, resulting in more financial losses. Also on a personal level, I have been able to focus on a little thing called 'life' more.

Pertaining to the main creative component of JN Films, we aren't sure when we'll be able to shoot anything. There are scripts that are fully written (or being written currently) that a lot of us are hyped up about. But the issue is not a matter a when, but a matter of if.

If we do go back into production on short films or Nate+, it'll be when we're feeling good about there being low risk exposure, when we have an idea of what precautions would be needed (PPE, social distancing parameters) and when we all are able to get together/be on the same page (since folks are pretty scattered geographically right now). No matter what, if we do go forward with making projects this summer we'll continue with our health-first mentality.

In the mean time, we have been doing live script reads videos via Zoom (which can be found here) to have something to look forward to each week.

Stay safe and well y'all,
